Remedy Healthcare Solutions installs GI Genius AI intelligence endoscopy machines to support early detection and treatment

The GI Genius technology has been installed in Remedy’s modular units in Blackpool Victoria, Cumberland Infirmary and Royal Gwent Hospitals.  

Remedy Healthcare Solutions has become the first UK insourced clinical services provider to install GI Genius AI Polyp Detection Machines in its modular units across England and Wales.

This revolutionary technology, designed by medical device company Medtronic, utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to increase polyp detection during colonoscopy. It has shown to increase adenoma (a specific type of polyp) detection rates by up to 14 per cent, thus improving rates of colorectal cancer detection and ensuring patients can access vital care sooner.

With waiting lists for endoscopy services having increased significantly in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and rising demand for health and care services exacerbating existing pressures on the NHS and its workforce, this innovative technology will help to support early detection and treatment.
