●        Cutting-edge partnership gives adults aged 18–65 faster access to personalised mental health care, guided by expert analysis

●        New digital platform has reduced delays and streamlined clinician information processing

Priory, the UK’s largest independent provider of mental health and adult social care services, has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award for its collaboration with Psyomics, a leading provider of digital mental health technology.

The partnership, which saw the launch of a new digital pathway in April 2025, has been nominated for Best Use of Digital for Improving Care Pathways at the Health Tech Newspaper (HTA) Awards.

Developed by clinical psychologists and psychiatrists in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, the Psyomics platform captures rich, structured information about a patient’s mental health and personal circumstances through an accessible online questionnaire.

This cutting-edge partnership has unlocked faster access to care, guided by expert analysis and personalised treatment recommendations. Patients can share their experiences in their own words, at a time that suits them, with information captured flexibly outside of traditional working hours.

Since its pilot phase in March 2024, Priory has expanded use of the technology to give more flexibility to patients and make it easier to find the right help.

Clinicians receive a same-day structured report before their first contact with the patient. This report brings together holistic information on suicidality and self-harm, validated clinical measures, and the patient’s own words about why they are seeking help ensuring individuals are connected with the right care pathway without unnecessary repetition or administrative burden.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Clinicians describe the platform as a ‘game-changer’ that provides them with valuable context and time back, while patients report feeling more involved their care journey.

Rebekah Cresswell, Priory chief executive, said: “We are proud to have been shortlisted for this award, which recognises the impact of innovation in transforming mental health care.

“Our partnership with Psyomics has given patients the opportunity to share their stories in their own time and in their own words, while ensuring our clinicians have the insights they need to provide personalised and timely care. This nomination is a testament to the dedication of our teams and the potential of digital innovation to truly improve lives.”

Dr Melinda Rees, chief executive at Psyomics, added: “We are honoured to be nominated for such a prestigious award, which highlights the strength of our partnership with Priory. By combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, we are making mental health services more accessible, efficient and patient-centred, while helping to shape the future of mental health care.”

The HTN Awards celebrate innovation, partnerships and excellence in digital health across the UK. Winners will be announced later this year.
