Reset Health and East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Win Multiple HSJ Partnership Awards for Transforming Access to Complex Obesity Care

The recognition celebrates Reset Health’s partnership with East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and Suffolk and North East Essex ICB, which has reduced specialist obesity waiting times from over two years to just eight days

London, United Kingdom. Reset Health (“the Company”), the experts in the personalised management of chronic disease, today announces that alongside clinical partner East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) and Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB), it has won Best Partnership Delivering Virtual Care, and Best Partnership Supporting Personalised Care Pathways at the HSJ Partnership Awards, in recognition of their joint efforts to transform specialist obesity services for patients across the region.

The HSJ Partnership Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions from companies and technology partners that work with NHS organisations to deliver meaningful improvements in clinical practice and patient outcomes. Reset Health, ESNEFT and SNEE ICB were recognised across both categories in which they were finalists: Best Partnership Delivering Virtual Care for ‘Bringing Specialist Care Home: A Partnership Transforming Access to Complex Obesity Treatment’, and Best Partnership Supporting Personalised Care Pathways for ‘An Integrated, Personalised, Digital-First Pathway for Patients Living with Complex Obesity.’

Oliver McGuinness, Chief Executive Officer at Reset Health, said: “These awards reflect everything Reset Health was founded to do. By combining intelligent technology with expert clinical care, we are delivering better outcomes for patients with chronic conditions. Our partnership with ESNEFT and SNEE ICB has shown that a digitally enabled, locally delivered model of care is not only achievable within the NHS, but genuinely transformative for trusts and for patients. We are proud of what this partnership has delivered, and it gives us great confidence as we continue to scale our integrated care model across the NHS and beyond.”

Prior to the partnership, patients in the region were faced with a postcode lottery, needing to travel out of area for specialist weight management care, facing waits of more than two years for treatment, placing a disproportionate burden on carers, shift workers, and patients with limited mobility. ESNEFT and SNEE ICB partnered with Reset Health to address this, implementing its integrated care platform to create a locally delivered, digitally enabled complex obesity service that enables personalised multidisciplinary care through virtual consultations, direct clinical messaging, and long-term outcome monitoring. Through the programme, wait times for patients have gone from two years to on average eight days from referral, out-of-area placements have been eliminated entirely since launch, and over. Reset Health Ltd, One Fleet Place, London, UK, EC4M 7WS www.resethealth.clinic 1,600 appointments have been moved out of secondary care estates, freeing critical hospital capacity and significantly increasing access for underserved and rural communities across the region.

Dr. Laura Falvey, Executive Clinical Director at Reset Health, said: “We are very proud to accept these awards because it reflects the value of genuinely integrated, patient-centred care. In obesity and metabolic health services, patients need more than short, isolated interventions; they need clinically robust, joined-up pathways designed around the realities of their lives. This partnership between ESNEFT, SNEE ICB, and Reset Health has shown what is possible when organisations work together with shared purpose.

This has never been about technology for its own sake, or about creating parallel services. It has been about bringing together clinical expertise, digital infrastructure and local system leadership to build a more personalised experience for patients. In my experience, that kind of integration is harder to build, because it demands trust, alignment and sustained collaboration, but it is far more worthwhile. It creates better experiences for patients, supports more personalised care, and offers a more sustainable way to deliver high-quality services.”

Nerinda Evans, Director of Strategic Programmes at Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board commented: “This partnership has demonstrated what can be achieved when NHS teams and innovative technology partners work together with a shared ambition to improve patient care. Reset Health’s platform has enabled us to deliver specialist obesity treatment in a way that is genuinely personalised and accessible, removing the barriers that previously prevented patients from getting the help they needed. The transformation in waiting times speaks for itself, but what matters most is the difference this has made to individual patients and their quality of life. We are proud of what this partnership has achieved and excited about what comes next.”
